Getting Ahead With Your Shower.

Getting Ahead With Your Shower.
There are few things more important in your bathroom than the shower or shower head you use.
As you’re probably aware, if you’ve ever stayed in a hotel with a shower that delivered a less than satisfactory experience, a good shower can make all the difference between a luxurious experience and an annoying half hour of wildly fluctuating temperatures and not being able to find the most comfortable setting.
So it’s important to know exactly what you’re buying before you go shopping for your shower.
Standard means standard
You might save a little money, but buying a run-of-the-mill traditional showerhead won’t do much to improve your showering experience. You can expect a distinct lack of control, which can make all the difference between: ‘EEEEEK!’ and ‘Ahhhhh!’
Most mount directly onto the wall at right angle and have little manoeuvrability. At their most basic, they distribute water over a defined area, of which you’ll have little control. Fine, if you’re renting short term, or, for a second bathroom if you’re on a budget, but not really a long term option.
Get Up Close And Functional
Next up, we come to multiple setting shower heads. Although these may look very similar to a standard head, look closer, and you’ll see that you’re given much more functionality, usually for very little extra cost. For example, depending on the model, you can choose from a light spray to a large droplet shower.
Furthermore, you’ll usually have more control when it comes to setting the direction of the shower. These multi-function showers make an ideal low cost upgrade for a second bathroom or en-suite.
Two Heads Are Better Than One
As the name implies, dual shower heads incorporate two, independently controllable showerheads, which can disperse water from different angles. These can be a good option, if you’re short on space, or don’t have a shower cabinet, but they’re not for everyone. Ask a friend if you can try theirs first.
Handy, Handy
Hand showers, as you’d expect, are designed to be handheld, although most can be mounted too. Clearly, this gives you a lot more versatility, although less freedom if you’re using one hand to hold the shower and one to wash. Having said that, they can be very useful for children, pets, the elderly, or wheelchair users.
More Power To Your Shower
However, if you want real functionality and a great shower experience, a power shower is the only way to go. Clearly, it’s the more expensive option, because of the technology required to heat the water and the services of an electrician to install the unit in your bathroom.
But since the unit only heats the water you use in the shower, it can be more economical in the long run. It’s worth pointing out too, that if you have low water pressure, then you may have no choice but to opt for a power shower if you want to have any sort of reasonable shower experience. If you do go down the power shower route for your bathroom then you might be looking for a great looking bathroom suite to go with it.
