Yep you read that correctly this bathroom was 28 years in the making…
The original bathroom had been in for such a long time and was in desperate need of a makeover.
Our lovely customer Narrell, had always dreamed of getting a ‘Wet Room’ but had been putting it off for years and years due to the amount of work and upheaval involved.
Pintrest is a great platform for design ideas and this is where this beautiful design started out.
For the project itself, everything needed done, from stripping the room back to a shell to re-framing the walls and installing new floor joists.
In for a penny, in for a pound as they say and this room was given a complete makeover.
Have a look through the pictures below.
A plain block of colour looks fantastic, clean and minimalist in the bathroom but sometimes you want to add a bit of colour or interest.
A good way to do this is to add a feature wall or border in a more decorative tile.
You could do this in many ways; a wrap around border, a centre line of tiles from taps to ceiling or even a full wall like we did here.
A free standing bath adds a touch of glamour to your bathroom.
Whether you choose to go for a contemporary or traditional design you can be certain that a freestanding bath will create a striking focal point.
Worried about the size? Don’t be, you can find free standing baths in a range of sizes plus a range of materials
These taps are a fantastic choice if you’re after a traditional look.
The water mixes as it flows through the spout to give you a highly controllable temperature and flow.
We love these taps for their elegant and simple style and every time we have fitted one it has delighted our customers!
Drawers are a fantastic option for your bathroom and will keep the bathroom clutter at bay.
Choosing drawers will make it easy to access everything simply.
Here we opted for a two drawer unit.
It’s a floor standing unit but if you look closely you see there is no plinth, this means mopping the floor is easy, it’s a wet-room after all.
A plain coloured basin looks fantastic, clean and minimalist in the bathroom but sometimes you want to add a bit of colour or interest.
A good way to do this is to add a custom built basin unit and add a feature worktop.
Here we used a piece of reclaimed timber and worked our magic to make it fit.
It required a bit of effort but hopefully you agree it looks amazing and something your not going to see very often.
A traditional headed shower is a luxurious option in a bathroom.
It’s a slower flow with a star like shower head that’s literally like showing in the rain or a waterfall.
Take a look at the cross handles too, ties in beautifully with the design don’t you think?
Round toilets are the oldest design and will look great in any bathroom.
To compliment the design you could go for other round features like a rounded bath, shower or taps and accessories like we did here.
This is quite a striking design and adds real interest to a bathroom.
Sometimes it’s the simplest things that can make the biggest difference.
Basin taps are available in many different styles.
They can be contemporary or modern – the choice is yours.
Here we cut the tap into the actual worktop itself and the basin sits on top to complete the look our customer Narrell was looking for.
