If you value your relationship then it might not be the best option…
Read on and find out why
That was what Tom Hume said to his good lady and nearly 8 months in his Kitchen and Bathroom hadn’t even been started. With a half ripped out bathroom and a kitchen with no cooking facilities this house wasn’t ideal for a family party.
Now don’t get me wrong if you have the skills and time for it then it makes sense to design and fit the kitchen or bathroom yourself.
From working in the building industry himself Tom certainly had the skills, just not the time.
A lot of people under estimate just how much work goes into a kitchen or bathroom and you’d be surprised by the amount of calls we get from ladies who’s hubbies haven’t quite finished what they promised.
A lot more than you’d think.
Here we created a minimal feel in this bathroom by concealing all the pipework for the basin and WC.
This will make a small bathroom feel bigger.
If you look you’ll see we also designed a useful shelf area behind the basin and WC which will be handy for the bathroom nick knacks.
Tiles are the most popular choice for a bathroom.
For good reason too.
Tiles are hard wearing, stain proof, easy to clean, hygienic and long lasting.
They come in a huge range of colours and finishes so you can find a style that suits your own.
Drawers are a fantastic option for your bathroom and will keep the bathroom clutter at bay.
Choosing drawers will make it easy to access everything simply.
Here we opted for a two drawer unit.
Choose a toilet that backs directly onto the wall. This will allow for a modern and functional design that hides the cistern and workings of the toilet.
This style is fantastic for a smaller bathroom as it can be space saving and with everything enclosed it looks sleeker which in turn gives the impression of a larger and less cluttered room.
An open shower is a great space saving option as you only need the space of the actual shower base.
If you have a small bathroom then this design will really open up the space and make the most of your floor space whilst still giving plenty of showering space.
