 Mrs Dirkie Was So Pleased With Her Kitchen She Came Back For Seconds

When Mr and Mrs Dirkie of Riddrie in Glasgow were looking for a firm to design her their new bathroom, they wanted a bathroom company in Glasgow that they could trust.

We also have numerous examples of bathrooms projects from over the years and a list of happy customers who were more than willing to provide a recommendation, as well as a personal viewing of their own bathroom.

In the end, there wasn’t really any competition and Mrs Dirkie was happy to accept our advice on how to enhance the space and bring light to their small bathroom design.

 

 Bathroom Suite

The bright Thyme a suite was the model of choice here with its smart modern design and bath which was rounded at one corner allowing for a shower as well as a bath. Because it was only rounded at the one end, it left plenty of space in the remainder of the bathroom. The shower meanwhile was an updated version with two heads, allowing a variety in pressure.

Where the toilet was concerned the back was designed straight into the wall to ensure a neater look and that none of the plumbing was visible.

 

 Bathroom Wall Tiling

Again, to make the bathroom look as large as possible, larger white ceramic tiles were chosen. Smaller tiles would have reduced the sense of space in the bathroom. To add contrast and a bit of colour, a feature glass mosaic border was designed three-quarters of the way up the wall.

 

 Bathroom Ceiling

Keeping the decor as light and bright as possible, the bathroom ceiling was kept white with modern recessed lights.

 

 Bathroom Flooring

A light stone coloured ceramic tile was chosen for the bathroom flooring in order to take away from the ‘all white’ bathroom and add a slight contrast (but again keeping the colour scheme light).

 

 Bathroom Accessories

In order to add the sensation of further room in the bathroom a bathroom mirror was designed above the toilet and opposite the doorway, instantly creating the illusion of further space.
