Winter Warming Tips For Your Bathroom

Winter Warming Tips For Your Bathroom
The days are getting darker, the temperature is plummeting and we’re all dreading that morning when we walk into our bathroom, bleary-eyed, shivering because it’s so cold. Thankfully, we’ve put together a handful of tips and tricks you can use to make sure you stay as toasty as possible when you’re washing up. We’ve even got a few winning warming ideas which won’t cost a fortune.
Underfloor Heating
If you install underfloor heating in your home now, you’ll be glad you did on the chilly days ahead. There are several variations and you can make them as cost effective as possible – you can even lay it just on the parts of the floor you walk on, making it a great little saver. Fancy stepping out of your shower onto a freezing cold floor? We thought not.
Warm Colours
There’s a lot to be said for making your bathroom just ‘look’ warm. Colours can play a huge part in this, so if you’re getting a slight shiver in the morning, stay away from light blues or greys. Instead stick with earth colours; browns, greens, clay reds – why not use bronze or copper fittings on your units to give your space that extra spice. It might be psychological, but it really can make a big difference and better still, it won’t cost you a penny in running costs. Give it a go.
Soft Furnishings
Rugs, pedestal mats, even the right type of fluffy towel; they all help in adding to that tangible feeling of warmth in the room. It’s much nicer stepping onto a small rug in the morning than icy tiles, trust me. You could even experiment with candles. They add a nice kind of atmosphere to your bathroom and can help you relax if you’re having a soak.
You may not notice a huge amount of heat radiating from them, but you will get a little warmth. Again, it’s all about creating the right feeling in your bathroom.
Designer Radiators and Towel Rails
These are fantastic as they satisfy both form and function in one tidy package. There are plenty of aesthetically pleasing models on the market and you’ll get the dual use of heating your room and heating your towels at the same time. The feeling of stepping out of the shower and into a toasty towel is second to none.
Also, like the underfloor heating you can set them to come on at select times, saving you the cost of running them all day. So if you’re getting a little chilly this winter or you’re looking to frost-proof your new bathroom, give our warming tips a try.
