 The Deas Delight In Their Brand-New Bathroom Created From Scratch

At least that’s exactly how Mr & Mrs Deas and her husband felt when it came to planning a brand new en-suite for their home in Glasgow’s Muirhead.

The couple had already hired My Beautiful Bathroom to design their new kitchen six months earlier and were so delighted with the results they knew exactly who they wanted to design their new bathroom.

The beauty of finding a bathroom company you can trust means you end up totally confident (as you should) for any future projects for your home – and that’s before the measuring tape has even come out.

And trust was important because this was no easyproject. It wasn’t just a case of re-designing an existing bathroom. The Deas wanted an entirely new en-suite built from scratch in their existing double bedroom.

That meant not just the onerous task of creating and designing a brand new bathroom, but also a lot of work for the accredited installation teams as it involved, installing new plumbing and knocking down some of the outside wall to fit a window which had previously never existed.

As a result this project required planning permission consent and interaction with the local council planners, as well as a certain amount of  to’ing and fro’ing with a firm of architects – all of which My Beautiful Bathroom happily took care of.

Part of the Deas’ project included designing a gas boiler (where one had never before existed) to ensure the room would always be cosy and warm in the colder months and that the shower would provide constant hot water.

A modern bathroom was selected by Mr and Mrs  Deas.

This was contrasted with the rich dark walnut gloss furniture, which included long square bar handles to add symmetry to the lines in the walnut gloss.

A white Triton T80Z shower was chosen with feature glass door and large cream ceramic tiles throughout.

The flooring consisted of Kamala brown ceramic tiles (which coordinated perfectly with the walnut furniture).

The floor tiles were cleverly designed to produce a dark feature skirting effect running along the bottom of the walls and which added an interesting contrast to the lighter tiles.

When it came to lighting, modern recessed down lights allowed sufficient light for the couple to function but without adding an annoying glare.

The perfectly positioned window dictated that an overhead central light was unnecessary. Electrical work was all completed from scratch by the accredited teams and included installing convenient shaver points to suit the clients’ needs.

The couple were delighted with their new en-suite. But the work didn’t stop there. ‘Cut a stick when you see it’ as the saying goes, so while accredited installation teams were on project were Mrs Deas didn’t waste the opportunity and got them to install a set of Pvc French doors at the same time as well as build several concrete steps to allow access to the doors.
