The Perfect Colour For Your Beautiful New Bathroom

The Perfect Colour For Your Beautiful New Bathroom

Here at My Beautiful Bathroom we like to keep up to date with new bathroom designs and when it comes to suggestions for your bathroom colour things will be no different. A short while back we told you about the major colours to look out for in the upcoming year – however, colour gurus Pantone have announced their long-anticipated Colour of the Year. So, without further ado we can reveal that the colour that’s trending at the moment is …… Emerald Green, an ideal choice for bathroom paint colours. So, if you’re thinking of renovating your bathroom and are looking for a colour that is both refreshing and revitalising, then why not show off just how fashion savvy you really are and splash a little of this oceanic tone around your bathroom space.

The Perfect Paint Colour For Your Beautiful New Bathroom

Firstly, it’s a colour that’s great in the bathroom or WC, especially when thinking about creating a calm bathroom feel. It’s extremely clean and works wonderfully with white and cream finish furniture, as well as natural earthy wood tones, too, perfect for bathroom aesthetics whatever the size of the bathroom.

Bathroom furniture

Among the huge range of bathroom units we stock, one that really stands out as a perfect pairing is white gloss furniture, enhancing the white bathroom theme. It’s not going to draw attention away from any emerald green you have in the space, plus it’s a very strong base to work from, enhancing the overall bathroom look. It’ll match up with most fixtures and all kinds of soft furnishings really well, particularly if you’ve got some marine-related trinkets you can use to decorate the bathroom space.

Tiles and other accents

Additionally, if you’re thinking about using green in some feature tiling, it’s not going to pull focus from that, either. In fact, tiling is a great way to use colour in a sparing way in your space, particularly in a small bathroom. A green as strong as this can be overpowering if used too much, so stick with a neutral coloured tile as your main one. Then you can dot the coloured tiles in as much or as little as you like, creating a unique accent in your colour scheme. Just make sure you plan out exactly what pattern you want before they get fixed to the wall!

In a previous blog, we’ve touched on using feature lighting in the form of different shapes and positions, but one thing we haven’t mentioned is using coloured light. Emerald green is an amazing choice for a special light feature in your bathroom, adding an elegant accent. Again, it means you don’t have to overdo it everywhere else, you can just choose as and when you want the green tones to wash over your space to create an ambience that will soothe and relax you. Better still, you can easily change the colour periodically should you want a change (or even next year when the Colour of the Year changes again). It’s an extremely elegant way to add extra personality to a simple bathroom design, incorporating a calm hue for a serene bathroom feel.
