What’s The Best Colour For A Bathroom Suite?
The one word answer is “white”, but rather than ask you to take my word for it, I’ll give you some of the reasons why white is the best colour for bathrooms…
White never goes out of fashion – it never gets to the point where it looks outdated or unfashionable. Or, to put it another way, if you choose white, you won’t have to replace your bathroom suite if you want to sell your home 3 years later.
White goes with everything – as a neutral colour, it lets you decorate and accessorise your bathroom any way you want.
White is relaxing – a white bathroom suite has a calming effect. Which, if you like long soaks in the bath, is a good thing.
White is less expensive – it doesn’t require costly colouring processes to make a white bathroom suite. And, because white is popular, there are cost benefits from mass production.
The Downside To White Bathroom Suites
While white has many benefits, it can also be over-powering under strong lighting – giving a clinical feel, rather than a relaxing one. No-one likes hospital or dental décor, so make sure you combine a white suite with sympathetic lighting.
Another great idea is to break it up with some colour. A top tip of ours is to design in a feature wall so that the white suite pops out.
You can also do it by designing in some coloured basin furniture.
